Clubs and Societies in JKUAT
I will be honest with you. I was never a member of any club back in University, and I regret that to date. In the list of things I would do differently if there were to be second chances, being a member of a club or a worthy cause would have made top priority. So to you all new students, thank God you have a big brother in me to steer you in the right direction, to ensure you don’t make the same mistake. Don’t just be a bookworm like me, there’s much more to life. You see, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is an institution whose excellence in academic provision is rivalled by none. So guaranteed, you’ll get it all here. But being a wholesome person requires more than just academics. Fitting into the job market after your University education will require more than just academics, it will need you to be socially, academically, spiritually, mentally and even economically updated.
I have seen lives transformed the moment a student joins a club. I have seen people turn around their lives and change for the better. I have seen clubs and societies make positive impact in the communities around. And that is what makes you exceptional and productive to the society. I therefore urge you to join at least one of the several clubs and societies in the University. We will keep updating this list with time and highlighting contact persons in charge of the various clubs and societies. They include the following;
