Hero’s Smile

It was all smiles when this year’s CNN Hero of the Year Award nominee, Mr. Evans Wandongo (third right) paid a courtesy call on Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mabel Imbuga (second right) on Wednesday August 25, 2010. Mr Wandongo, a JKUAT Alumni, graduated in 2009 with a BSc. in Electronic and Computer Engineering. He has been nominated for the prestigious CNN award for his innovation of an environmentally friendly lamp that is being distributed across Kenya.

It is a well-known fact that most JKUAT Alumni do stuff that counts. Thumbs up Mr. Evans Wadongo.

Congratulations to Mr. Evans Wadongo for being able to get the nomination to the prestigious award and hope that he guns the award.
That’s very encouraging even to other students and also an eye opener that it’s not all about learning but we also need to contribute to the society in any way we can, and he has shown it’s possible.
