Course of the Week; BSc. Agriculture and Biosystem Engineering

Offered at the School of Biosystems and Environmental Engineering (SOBEE), the programme aims at producing specialized engineers in mechanization of production systems and bio-process engineering. Students are trained to have core competence in;  Energy resource management, Bio-processing systems design, and Design and production of bio-processing machines and structures.

It produces engineers with competence in; Agricultural machinery, Energy resources management, Bio-processing systems design, and Design and production of bio-processing machines and structures.

Graduates from this program are employed in various organizations such as agro-based industries, food processing plants, NGOs , machinery  manufacturers and dealers, construction companies research institutions, Government ministries, UN agencies etc.

Admission for this programme only happens in our September intake, hence the next intake is September 2018. Application will open in our admission portal at https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke/

Admission Requirements

Must have a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and should have a minimum grade of C+ (plus) in each of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics: OR C+ (plus) in each of the following subjects; Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Geography or any of the group IV subjects OR

Must have a diploma in agricultural Engineering or Biomechanical and Processing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant diploma, with credit and above from a recognized institution.
