JKUAT crowns Mr. &Miss JKUAT 2021

The curtains of Nick Ogada and Nelius Wangeci’s reign as Mr. &Miss JKUAT drew to a close last week at the grand event where Tony Mwareti and Chelsea Kariuki were crowned Mr. and Miss. JKUAT 2021. The two won against all the other contestants in the two Categories; Creative Wear and Dinner Wear.

Out of the total 18 contestants, Tony and Chelsea had the most authentic, unique, and creative in the category of creative wear. The elegance they exhibited in the category of dinner wear was unbeatable, and to these, they owe their success.

The long-awaited announcement was made earlier in the week, Sunday, 1st August 2021, on an online platform, awarding Tony Mwareti and Chelsea Kariuki. Because of the ongoing curfew restrictions, the event, which was on Friday, 30th July 2021, was quickly wrapped up, leaving both contestants and fans thirsty, eagerly waiting for the announcements to be made. The tempo of celebration on Friday night, of course, was heightened by an exemplary performance from Kenya’s finest Gengetone artist-Mejja Okonkwo-

Tony, a fourth-year student in JKUAT, is taking over from Nick, who diligently accomplished his missions during his reign. As he promised in his speech during the coronation, Tony aspires to follow in Nick’s footsteps. During their reign, Nick Ogada and Nelius Wangeci’ could organize and support charity events and fitness campaigns, some of which were published in national newspapers. On her end, Chelsea noted she has a lot to learn from her predecessor Nelius Wangeci’.

Crowned Mr. and Ms. JKUAT 2021, our very own Tony Mwareti and Chelsea Kariuki have a great task ahead. Good luck to them.
